If you need any help or advice at any time, contact our knowledgeable sales specialists
How do I know which Big Brute is right for me?
This depends on the industry you’re in and what you want to use the Big Brute for.
A good place to start would be to read our article detailing what a Big Brute can be used for. You can read that here
Or you can give us a call on 01223 882222 and we’ll offer advice over the phone
How long does it take to build a Big Brute?
2-3 days for standard machines. Some of our more specialised machines may take a little longer.
Our Big Brutes are dispatched by pallet haulier on a 2 – 3 day service as standard. If you need it quicker, we can offer a next-day delivery service.
Are there different colour options available?
Yes, you can have any colour you wish.
Previous customers have colour coded their Big Brutes. I.e. Blue for wet use and Red for dry use, or Even Pink and yellow Stripes!
How much power does the Big Brute have?
All our Big Brute power units contain 3 motors, each one rated at 1.2kW power.
Therefore, every Big Brute has a total power of 3.6kW.
Do I need to use a certain type of power socket?
All our 230V single-phase Big Brutes come with a blue 16A plug pre-fitted.
The reason it’s not a 3-pin 13A plug is that under certain circumstances, Big Brute motors can pull very close to 13A of current. In this scenario, a standard 13A RCD could trip.
What if I don’t have a 16A supply?
You can use our Big Brute 16A-13A adapter lead to plug in to your 13A sockets.
Just check that your RCD breakers are of a high enough rating to cope.
What power supply do I need?
- 230V Machine needs either a single phase 16amp or 13amp supply
- 110v Machines have the larger 32amp plug, so you will need a 32amp feed, or at least a 5k AVA transformer to power it
How long do the vacuum filters last?
This depends on several factors.
The best thing to do is read up on how to look after and maintain your filters. We’ve put this information in an article which you can read here
As a rule, you won’t ever need to replace your filters (less the HEPA cartridge), as our filters can be blown out, or vacuumed off to keep them working.
Handy Tip: why not order a second filter for your Brute, so that when one is dirty, you can fit the clean one, and use the Big Brute to clean the dirty filter, just store it on the shelf until its needed again!
Can I hire or rent out a Big Brute?
We don’t directly hire or rent out our Big Brutes.
Are your machines ATEX certified?
Not currently. We do have plans to develop them in the future.
If you need an ATEX machine, do give us a call as we do have compressed-air powered Big Brutes that have no electrical components.
How much capacity does a Big Brute have?
Our standard machines are based on a 205-litre (45-gallon) oil drum in size. Considering the filters, which take up some space inside the drum, you’ll have approximately 170 litres to fill.
We do have a larger Bulkmaster range that comes in 500 and 1000 litre options.
Do you supply spare parts?
As we make the machines in house, we do supply spare parts for our machines. You can see the full range available here
Do you offer flexible payments?
We can offer payment plans for Big Brutes over 2 – 4 months. The best thing to do is give us a call so we can discuss this with you.
Are you able to service or repair my Big Brute?
We sure can.
However, if you fancy diagnosing your Big Brute machine on your own, you can with the help of our Maintenance Guide. You can download that here
Another option is to give us a call on 01223 882222, Option 2 and we can offer advice over the phone.
If you need to send in your Big Brute, do give us a call first so we can offer tips on how to package it before sending.
